Tech PR MatchMaker
Tech PR MatchMaker is the first service dedicated to the technology industry, helping companies find 'best fit' PR partners.
We are continuously surveying the PR marketplace to keep abreast of many hundreds of technology PR agencies, so that when you are ready to look for a new (or first-time) PR partner, we can help you identify those consultancies best suited to your unique requirements.
The service is completely impartial to ensure we always select the most appropriate agencies for your needs, not just those that subscribe to a service. It can also be conducted confidentially – whether to stop unwarranted approaches from other agencies or protect commercial sensitivities.
We provide a range of services to support all aspects of PR review including:
Search
The first stage in any agency selection process is to identify those potential PR partners which are most closely aligned to your requirements. We
have relationships with over 500 agencies across Europe (150 alone in
the UK), covering all aspects of b2b and b2c technology markets. Our
coverage is also being rolled out across other key geographic regions
including Asia-Pac and the USA.
Cross matching our knowledge of the technology PR marketplace with an understanding of your requirements, we will identify potential PR partners that represent the closest possible fit, taking into account a variety of factors including skill set, relevant experience, geographic capabilities and other pertinent issues.
Evaluation & Selection
Having identified a 'short list' of consultancies, we can assist throughout the PR review process. To gain maximum benefit, during this aspect of the review, it is important to implement a process that is both rigorous and engaging. In
our experience, the more open and co-operative a client is with
potential agencies, the more aligned the final presentations will be to
your needs - and the stronger the platform will be on which to make a considered decision about the final choice of 'best fit' PR partner. It can be the difference between finding an agency that adequately meets the brief and one that can make a real contribution to your communications and business objectives.
PR Brief
Equally important as the short-listing and pitch process elements, is the production of a detailed PR Brief which gives agencies a clear idea of exactly what you are trying to achieve through your PR activities: for example, the business objectives that PR needs to support.
We work with clients to gain a full understanding of requirements: not just your business and marketing objectives, but also an insight into other key aspects that will contribute to a successful client-agency relationship: the style of communications required, the culture of the company, previous experience, market dynamics etc. This then forms the basis of a formal, written briefing document.
